With nearly 600 athletes representing the US in the Rio Olympics, Americans will have no shortage of interesting storylines. Michael Phelps is the big name, but track and field participant Sydney McLaughlin will enter the event as the youngest Olympic ever (she’s 16 years old). The most heart-warming story, however, may be Nino Salukvadze and her son Tsotne Machavariani becoming the first mother and son team to compete at the same games.
