Spring cleaning isn’t the most exciting way to spend a Saturday afternoon, but the deep cleaning of your home is something that should be done at least once a year. Here are three quick tips for spring cleaning this May.

 

Make a plan: spring cleaning and entire apartment can be overwhelming. There are so many things to clean, where do you even get started? The first is to make a plan of attack. Take a week or two for the entire process and clean one room a day.

 

Declutter: a huge part of spring cleaning is decluttering and getting rid of junk. What good would it do for you to deep clean your apartment if it’s going to stay cluttered and unorganized? Get rid of things, put them in storage, donate them, do whatever you can to declutter your area.

 

Start early: the key to getting started is to begin spring cleaning first thing in the morning. Life can get busy and if you wait until the afternoon to begin cleaning, things might never get done (you’ll be too tired and drained to even care.
