Best Plant Types For Your Apartment

Are you horrible with plants? Do you forget to water them and essentially kill every piece of greenery in your apartment? Well don’t feel bad—most of us are like that. But if you want to add some greenery and nature into your apartment, getting a plant is a must. Here are three perfect plants for busy professionals to try in their apartment.

Snake plants: are perfect for the person who is never home. They require little water, can survive in near darkness, and they also help purify the air.

Iron plant: this plant comes from Chinese origins and has a high tolerance for neglect and punishment. It also requires little light or water to thrive.

Jade plant: Jade plants need lots of sunlight but very little water. So just place one on a windowsill and let it grow on its own.

Where To Watch The Olympics in Lakewood

With nearly 600 athletes representing the US in the Rio Olympics, Americans will have no shortage of interesting storylines. Michael Phelps is the big name, but track and field participant Sydney McLaughlin will enter the event as the youngest Olympic ever (she’s 16 years old). The most heart-warming story, however, may be Nino Salukvadze and her son Tsotne Machavariani becoming the first mother and son team to compete at the same games. If you are ready to throw your full attention behind the event, going to a sports bar or restaurants and watch the Rio festivities may be the best way. Here is a quick look at three location that will be showing the Olympics this summer.

Best Burger Summer Grilling Tips

Ready to eat? Summer is here, so now is the time to whip out those grills and start cooking up burgers, meats, chicken, and anything else your stomach might be craving. Grilling during the summer is also a great way to beat the heat by skipping the ovens and taking the cooking outside. Here are a few tips for making great burgers this summer.

Making patties: season your ground beef and start rolling the meat into balls. Once you are done, lightly flatten the balls (but not too much) and place them on the grill.

Cook on high: turn the heat up for your burgers. There is no need to cook these on low or medium heat (they will only dry out). Let them sit for two minutes and then serve.

Toast the bun: toasting the bun isn’t only about taste, but also about structure. An untoasted bun will fall apart faster the second you take a bit and release the juices.

Shopping for a Father’s Day gift can be tough. Dads come in various shapes, sizes and personalities and picking the right gift for dad can be difficult. Here is a quick list of three fun gifts that every dad is sure to love.

BioLite LED Lantern: even if your dad isn’t the outdoorsy type, an outdoor LED lantern is still a wonderful toy to have just in case he ever needs a light. The lanterns cost $29.95 on Amazon.

Heated coffee mug: if your dad drinks coffee (who’s dad doesn’t?) this may be the greatest gift ever. The 16-ounce mug plugs into your car and keeps dad morning cup of coffee warm during his ride to work.
